Sounak Chattopadhyay and Rohini Ray Chaudhuri talk about their Rabindrasangeet and Classical vocal jugalbandi program – the concept, the examples in hindi playback but emphasizing that the experimentation is respectful and not a reckless liberty. With groomings in traditional music, they stick to the authenticity of the songs.
This sounded so unique and interesting. Hope we get more of this kind of performance in the coming Banga Sammelans.
