RBC 2011 Day 1

The second Regional Bengali Conference was hosted again by Bengali Association of Greater Nashville (BAGN) between June 24-26, 2011 at Embassy Suites Hotel, Franklin. BanglaPodcast brings to you highlights from the first day. The inauguration ceremony saw high-profile figures from local administration, businesses from India and stars from the entertainment world. BAGN presented the opening ceremony titled “Bharat Amaar Bharabarsho”. A dance performance by Nilanjana Bannerjee captivated the audience. The sell-out crowd cheered on Aneek Dhar as he belted out chartbusters from past and present. Kavita Krishnamurthy sang in her melodious voice with grace and delighted the audience with a few bengali songs including a Tagore song. A good start to the 3-day event with the attendees looking for more.
