Her age belies her singing prowess, but the excitement her fans show about her leaves no doubt that Anwesha Datta Gupta is set to rock the world. The singing prodigy from Kolkata was on her maiden tour to the US earlier this year and performed in the North American Bengali Conference at San Jose. The packed house gave her their version of the Star Voice of India “Sarvottam” award with thunderous appaluse for Bhul Bhulaiya and other songs. Srijeet Chaudhury from Banga Podcast was there to witness it all and in a candid interview Anwesha talks about her short career, her first trip to US and sharing the stage with Shaan.
Anwesha is an awesome singer and amazing person. I luv the way the girl handles herself. Thank you so much for the interview. I m not a bengali….but i never miss any of her interviews even if it is in bengali 🙂
She is such a talented singer. She has got a god gifted voice. I wish her all the luck… and this interview is a really nice one.
There is no any doubt that Anwesha is a great singer. I like her performance too much. I am a middle age musician and have accompanied with so many Bollywood and reality show’s singers and have never seen such a good and qualified singer like Anwesha that she had achieved with in such age! I hope she must be a high end vocal artist once a day soon and I pray to God to bless her. Long live Anwesha ………
Hope that we get her solo album in coming years.
